The purpose of this role is to deliver the Regional Operations strategy, through effective planning and execution of the National Operations Strategy within the region.

The Job is responsible for the following:

Budget and Cost Management
· Assist with Development of budget for region and give input into the overall operations budget
· Effective management of regions budget and goals
· Manage monthly financial report in income statement meeting on areas of concern and overspend as well as possible solutions in Branch service related areas
· Drive compliance to budget and analyses gaps
· Ensure implementation of and management of company Financial Control Policies and Procedures in the branch
· Authorise transactions aligned to DOA to ensure quick execution of plans and operations

Operational Management compliance and standards attainment
· Lead and manage the operational execution of the region through a geographical network of branches.
· Ensure effective management of the regional branch operations functions as measured by customer SLA’s and CSI metrics
· Delivers the regions financial and operating performance as well as ensuring effective and timeous delivery of machines and service solutions to customers
· Collaborate with facilities/branch managers to develop and implement plans for the regional operational facilities/branches
· Responsible for the development of communication and implementation of effective operational processes for the region.
· Collaborate with Commercial team to ensure demand planning is monitored for the region.
· Collaborate effectively with Commercial team to ensure effective deployment of customer specific solutions
· Manage the regional geographical location of facilities/branches to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives, including cost effectiveness
· Constantly improve asset availability and condition for the region.
· Implement and manage quality standards for the region on equipment and vehicles.
· Ensure correct deployment of the regional fleet, trucks, and vehicles for the region.
· Manage asset balancing in the Region to optimize customer commercial opportunities and support fleet utilization.
· Adhere to, execute, and enforce all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Manage and monitor direct all regional Branch operations and performance
Process and procedure adherence and development
· Implement and monitor processes to ensure the right machine(s) delivered to or picked up from the right customer(s) at the right place at the right time
· Drive a superior operational excellence through the implementation of operational disciplines, and creation of a competent and high-performance operations culture.
· Ensure effective demand planning and operational availability of machines for the region
· Identification of process inefficiencies and communicate changes to processes to ensure enhanced efficiency for the region.
· Ongoing analysis of results to identify trends and drive the urgent formulation of corrective plans for the region.
· Ensure the continues improvement of processes and procedures for the region.
· Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure a high level of quality assurance for the region.
· Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, and finance for the region.
· Ensure compliance within region to the National BBBEE strategy as applies to procurement, Enterprise Development and recruitment
Regional Operations reporting and analysis.
· Provide timely, accurate and integrated reports for the region.
· Responsible for ensuring that the National Operations team are up to date and informed of current situation, new trends, challenges, and opportunities both within and external to ensure the competitive edge for the region.
Operations and Customer Service
· Partner with the Regional Commercial lead to deliver projects and business development initiatives in line with the Regional Commercial Plans.
· Collaborate with the Regional Sales manager and commercial team to operationally support delivery of the sales and commercial objectives
· Develop and maintain appropriate operational infrastructure and resources in the region to support revenue growth and commercial activity
· Monitor customers service complaints and breakdowns and respond accordingly to minimize incidents
· Monitor CSI scores (Customer Satisfaction Index)
Technical execution to plan at branches and sites
· Ensure all assets are maintained according to company standards for the region.
· Focus to be placed on Red and Black kit resolutions through the structures provided at Regional and National level
· Damages and Insurance claims to be followed up and costs recovered to mitigate repairs effectively
Safety & Environmental standards
· Ascertain safety and training requirements of the region and ensure they are correctly executed.
· Responsible for region’s safety score
· Ensure all company assets are safe for use according to manufacturer specifications and OSHACT in the region.
· Ensure people are correctly trained to operate the equipment
General Management of branch execution
· Fulfil general management functions within the region, through effective identification and application of resources to deliver on agreed customer solutions.
· Provide day to day leadership and management that mirrors the Eazi Group’s culture and values to ensure a highly engaged and productive regional team
· Accountable for maintaining effective leadership and management practices within personal sphere of influence.
· Generate quarterly appropriate and informative reports regarding the qualitative and quantitative performance of the region.
· Ensure appropriate succession planning in regional roles.
· Direct report performance appraisals and IDP
· Able to play a key and leadership role in regional management
· Monitors and reviews Regional Operational performance through reporting.
· Develops plans to improve Regional Operational performance and deliver Operational Excellence.
· Develop correct resource ratios to ensure effective maintenance and response times for all service aspects of the region.

Qualifications
Minimum
· Grade 12
· Appropriate Tertiary Technical Qualification required
Recommended
· B Degree in Business Management or Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
Experience
· 5- 8 years Operational management experience required.
· 5 - 8 years’ Experience in Logistics and technical environments
· 5 Years’ Experience in managing a region of at least 6 branches,
· Rental industry experience would be an advantage
· Experience in Budgets and planning – responsible for building, implementing, and controlling annual regional budgets
· Experience in an ISO and H&S environment would be an advantage
